Accelerated Aviation Degree Program
The Accelerated Aviation Bachelor's Degree Path, a unique collaboration between Summit Technology Academy (STA) and University of Central Missouri (UCM), is designed for motivated high school students who dream of becoming professional pilots or aviation leaders. This innovative program allows you to begin completing requirements for a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation while still in high school, setting you directly on course for a seamless transition to the University of Central Missouri (UCM) Aviation College.
Direct Path to a UCM Aviation Bachelor's Degree
The program's core goal is to accelerate your entry into UCM's highly respected Aviation College. Through the LSR7 Early College Program, you will strategically enroll in courses at MCC that are precisely aligned to UCM's general education and foundational requirements for their Bachelor's in Aviation degree.
The journey starts at Summit Technology Academy, where you gain specialized, hands-on training and foundational knowledge in aviation science and technology. Concurrently, MCC courses help you front-load your college credit, ensuring you minimize the time needed to complete your Bachelor's degree after high school.
Key Benefits of the Accelerated Aviation Program:
- Fast-Track to a BS: This is a direct path to a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Aviation at UCM, significantly reducing the overall time from high school to professional career.
- University Alignment: The curriculum is directly mapped to UCM Aviation College requirements, guaranteeing that your early college credits count toward your degree and prepare you for UCM's advanced flight and management coursework.
- Maximize Time & Savings: By completing college-level general education requirements while in high school, you reduce the total cost of your degree and graduate years ahead of your peers.
- Comprehensive Preparation: Gain the strong academic foundation needed to excel in UCM's program, whether you pursue the Professional Pilot track (leading to certification and commercial flight) or the Aviation Management track.
Seamless Transition to UCM Aviation College
Upon successful completion of the Early College coursework and the STA Aerospace Academy Capstone, you will enter UCM with a significant number of credits already earned. You are set to complete your Bachelor's degree and begin your career as a professional pilot, air traffic controller, or aviation manager faster than the traditional route.
